Personality trait is an enduring and stable characteristic response of the individual under different conditions. The present study is correlational in nature and has been aimed at assessment of differential linkage of personality traits with psychopathology (Depression, Anxiety, and Stress) in clinical and normal groups. The hypotheses of the study were to examine the differential linkage of personality traits with psychopathology in clinical and normal groups, to find out which personality traits are closely linked with psychopathology in clinical and normal groups, and to assess and compare the level of psychopathology in clinical and normal groups. The sample included 100 subjects (50 normal subjects and 50 clinical subjects) chosen by purposive sampling from Aligarh district of U.P. In this study, two inventories were applied viz., Neo Five Factor Inventory and Depression Anxiety Stress Scale. Investigators used mean, standard deviation, t-test, and Pearson product moment correlation with the aim of drawing out the results. The conclusions of the study revealed that conscientiousness is negatively correlated with psychopathology in clinical group, neuroticism has shown a significant positive correlation with psychopathology in normal group, and the level of psychopathology in clinical group is higher than the normal group.
