ABSTRACT
Teachers of English have been attempting to create fascinating methodologies to improve writing in students ever since the evolution of teaching began. Writing is a skill that must create a sense of interest and enthusiasm in every student while equally equipping their minds with the same for systematic development. It is an activity that must perform three important tasks: Compile, Communicate and Convey; and involves: who is writing, what is being written, to whom is it being written, why is it written, and what does it convey. Writing in other words, is a communicative skill that either must transfer something or be responded either in social or official correspondence. As far as engineering students are concerned, possessing appropriacy in writing is the pre-requisite to work in any company as the prime purpose is to send communication in the form of mails, reports, official letters while also interpreting data, making checklists etc. This study explains some strategies adopted to enhance the writing skills through Integrated Computer Technology through various modes. It also elucidates the elements that contribute to the enhancement of writing skills in students, besides analysing in detail the assessment of a student.
