Open Newton-Cotes Quadrature with Midpoint Derivative

ABSTRACT

In this paper, as a first approach only the arithmetic mean of end points is applied at the derivative of error term to improve the accuracy of the existing ONC formulas. The remaining statistical means are left for future scope. From the results, it is concluded that the ONC-MD formulas give more accuracy than the standard ONC.
