ABSTRACT
In 1916, Ch. Chhotu Ram became a member of the All India Congress party. As the head of the Congress committee for the Rohtak district, he had a significant impact. He served as the community’s "MASIHA." He passed numerous measures as a minister in the Punjabi government to better the situation of the peasantry. The Bakhra dam project, the Punjab sugarcane legislation, and the Punjab farm produce marketing act were all significant laws that only Ch. Chhotu ram could get approved. Two canals in the districts of Rohtak and Hisar made a significant addition to Haryana’s irrigation system. He actively backed the Arya Samaj, a significant socioreligious reform movement at the time. He placed emphasis on starting schools in remote locations.
