ABSTRACT

IT Organizations are challenged by changing business models that arise due to emerging technologies and disruptions.Thisis transforming work environmentmaking it necessary for employers and employees to develop competencies. To be successful and productive, employeesmust develop competencies that help to adapt to change, work in cross functional teams, effectively communicate, build trust and resolve conflicts. Employees need a wide range of technical as well as behavioral competencies to perform successfully.Skilled employees are a premium for organizations to be competitive. This purpose of this paperis to understand and study the behavioral competencies. A questionnaire was a tool for data collection, and it was administered to managers and non-managers. The findings show what competencies exist andstate the relationship between role and experience with behavioral competencies.
