ABSTRACT
All the Engineering College stakeholders have a tremendous responsibility, in enabling the nation to reap the benefits of the demographic dividend and to prevent the country from being put under huge pressure from the demographic burden. There is no lack of employment opportunities. This paper suggests the different employability skills expected from engineering students during placement. Despite the fact that Employability Skills provide the students an opportunity to work provided that the skill lies at a scholarly level, some entry levels of different occupations may hold a lower level of expectancy. Thus, fundamental scholastic aptitudes are still crucial for higher employment execution. Preferably, new contracts will have the capacity and the need to learn. They additionally require the capacity to listen to and read directions and after that to work on those guidelines.
When requested data, these people must have the capacity to react properly both orally and in composing, including recording and handing-off data. Analyzing capacity incorporates grasping what has been perused and utilizing an assortment of composed materials, including diagrams, outlines, tables and shows. Entry level workers likewise require the capacity to finish essential math calculations precise. While enabling the students to get an opportunity for placement and study the gap between the industry expectations and engineering students. The researcher has recommended some valid guidelines for enablers to achieve certain goals.
Researchers suggested some guidelines that enables the placements organizations to have achieved the goal of placing the candidates. While deciding the employability skills developments in the study of certain cases of Savitribai Phule University of Pune (SPPU), ASSOCHAM, National Skill Development Corporation and The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has been considered.
