ABSTRACT
This study aims to address the economic and societal impact of this phenomenon. Specifically, it will examine the increasing presence of foreign brands in Jordan and ask how this trend correlates with economic growth and opinions about globalization and capitalism. The objective is to obtain a better understanding of globalization’s specific—and recent—impact in Jordan. The researcher hypothesized that influxes of new foreign brands follow economic growth in Jordan while contributing to sustainable growth rates. The researcher further hypothesized that this increasing presence has created indifferent-to-negative opinions about globalization and capitalism in Jordan. The significance of this study originates out of Jordan’s current place in the global economy. As the country continues to grow, it is important to consider the economic and societal impact of globalization so there can be policy adjustments to maximize globalization’s benefit to Jordan.
