ABSTRACT
The real name of Acharya Nimbarka, the founder of Nimbarka philosophy, was Niyamananda. These were Tailang Brahmins of South India. The Nimbarka sect is known as the sect of Vaishnavism and as dualism. Nimbarka has a Purnapragyabhashya or Vedantaparijatasaurabha on the Brahmasutra. His main works are Vedantaparijatasaurabha, Siddhantaratna, Dashashloki, Sri Krishnastavaraj. True knowledge or wisdom is not dependent on the growth of the intellect, but on the soul. Knowledge is constantly connected with the relation of guna and virtuous in the soul. There is a distinction between guna and virtuous, Nimbark believes in three proofs, direct, guess and word. Nimbarkacharya not only establishes coordination in Jnanayoga, Bhaktiyoga, Karmayoga, but also brings together the dualistic and non-dualist philosophies in the discriminatory and non-discriminatory Shruti Vachanas and the duality of conscious and unconscious as celibacy. His Bhedabhedaism name itself signifies the syncretic method. Their main aim seems to be to establish consistency and harmony in opposites.
