ABSTRACT
International Higher Education (IHE) landscape has changed significantly during the recent years and studying overseas has become an important educational trend for many HE applicants across the globe. Several studies have investigated factors affecting international students’ complicated decision-making process to study abroad , hover view of them addressed the effect of the students’ attitude on their decision-making process and country selection.. The study aimed to examine the moderating role of students’ attitudes in the relationship between a variety of push-pull factors and on their choice of study destination in an under-investigated context of China’s higher education. Moreover, it proposes a conceptual framework to study the effect of student’s attitude on their decision. Findings from this research can influence policy decisions related to international education in China. It can reveal hindsight to the home country government and educational authorities on the factors that influence students’ study in China. Hence, governments and educational authorities can use these insights to shape policies, regulations, and incentives that attract and retain international students and reduce the outflow of local student.
